What we do not collect
No accounts or sign-in, no cookies, no analytics, no advertising, and no sale of data to anyone.
The city whose times you looked up is not stored, and neither is anything you type into the zakat calculator — that calculation runs entirely inside your browser, and none of your figures reach us or anyone else.
What happens when you open a page
The server hosting the site records requests the way any web server does — IP address, the page requested, and the time — to run the site and protect it from abuse, not to track people.
Recitation audio
When you play a recitation, the audio file is fetched from cdn.islamic.network, so your browser request (IP address and the file requested) reaches their servers. This only happens if you press play — simply opening a surah page sends them nothing.
Gold and silver prices
The metal price used by the zakat calculator is fetched by our server, not by your browser, so the price provider never sees visitors to this site.
Fonts and images
Fonts are self-hosted, so your browser makes no request to any external font server. The same goes for images — everything is served from this site.
The Taahad Quran app
The app differs from the site here: it records your reading progress, the letters counted and the reward earned, and supports an invite link that attributes installs made through it. That data is what makes those features work.
For the detail of what the app collects and how long it is kept, see the privacy label published on its App Store and Google Play listings.
Changes to this policy
If any of the above changes — a measurement tool or an external service being added, for instance — this text will be updated and the date below with it.
